Catherine achieves certificate in Zoological Medicine

Catherine Thomas of Suffolk Exotic Vet Services now has a certificate to prove that she has experience working in the field of zoological medicine and that she is a competent clinician with expertise in the subject proven by examination. The qualification took a lot of hard work, she spent three years writing up details of all of her exotic animal cases, writing essays and revising for written and aural exams. It was difficult to fit in with full time clinical work but it was worth it in the end. She now has a nice framed certificate to put on her wall. The full title is the Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice in the designated field of Zoological Medicine. It means that Catherine can add a few more letters to the end of her name. Her full name is now Dr Catherine Thomas BVM&S, MRCVS, CertAVP (Zoological Medicine). Catherine is proud to be the first vet working in Suffolk to achieve this qualification.
